Magic Valley Bassmasters March 2014 Meeting

Scyler brought the meeting to order at 7:00 at Idaho Joes.

The Federation Banquet went very well. They had 135 people show up and the new place held it well. Thanks to those that came from this area. The sportsman show in Boise was Feb 27th thru March 2nd, they had a lot of kids show up on Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Spectra donated $500 to the Federation in appreciation of organizing the kids casting event. The money will be put in the youth fund to help with the Jr Championship and travel for our Jr State Champion to the National Championship.

The East Qualifiers are set for July 19th at Milner and July 20th at Walcott. August 23rd at Walcott and August 24th at Milner. For More Information contact Scyler.

June 29th is the Federation Soldier Appreciation and High School Championship at C.J. The Federation is looking for a few Boaters to take out 2 Soldiers from the Mountain Home Air Base. After the Tounament the Federation will host a BBQ in the park.

We Handed out more sponsorship invoices. There are 3 spots open on the trailer. Each spot is $200.

The Open is coming up fast and we are trying to get everything in order. Please start gathering raffle items and getting the word out about it.

Brought up the open raffle on the gun. Still needing $100.00 in donations if the clubs wants to do this raffle. Thank you Larry & Brenda Luper & Dale Taylor for supporting this fund raiser.

Our first tournament is Saturday March 22nd at C.J. Strike. Don't forget to pay your dues and bring your insurance papers. We will be trying to draw by 6:45.

FYI the wood bridge below C.J. Stike Dam will be closed from April to July as they build a new bridge. Scyler will forward the email about it with dates and sign locations.

We are staying with the same format for the plaques, so make sure to smile and get team pictures and a picture by yourself if you have a big fish.

At the next meeting we will decide on the main course for the Brownlee Tournament, we have had Ribs, Pulled Pork, & Cornish Game Hens suggested.
